![]() Summer blessings! The Sun in astrology is about self-expression, power, vitality, and well-being. In Tarot, it teaches us to connect with our creativity to find what makes us thrive. The Lord of the Fire of the World is inviting us to shine our unique Light brightly with confidence. In a world that pushes fear, strips away faith, nuance, and is turning us into dedicated cynics, the Sun reminds us of our positive potential—our beautiful life force. It reawakens us to our creative source, helping to open our eyes wider with childlike wonder. This card asks us to unblock our hearts, dissolve bitter walls, and spread much needed joy. May the Sun shine its optimism on your path! ![]() Antiquarian Tarot reissue is coming soon! Now accepting Pre-Orders for the new edition short-run set. This 3rd edition set will include: ○ 81 card tarot deck ○ 340 page companion book ○ padded zipper pouch You can find all the info about this set and Pre-Order your copy HERE. Happy Spring! Here's an update for the 3rd ed. Antiquarian Tarot. There will be a few changes in the deck, including new cards, backs, and bag design, and the companion book will be updated for this edition too.
The Lion's Gate, a celestial stargate, is when the 2nd brightest star in the heavens, fixed star Sirius (aka our "Spiritual Sun"), aligns with Earth; and it is “activated” with the New Moon this weekend.
As I continue to read and travel through 36 Secrets, A Decanic Journey through the Minor Arcana of the Tarot by T. Susan Chang, I keep finding fascinating connections between the cards and the stars. For example: The Lion’s Gate happens during this Leo II time, the decan of the 6 of Wands “Lord of Victory” card (Jupiter in Leo). ![]() Yesterday, we entered the third decan of Cancer, represented by the Four of Cups—the Moon in Cancer decan. The High Priestess (Moon) and Chariot (Cancer-ruled). The Golden Dawn title for the Four of Cups is The Lord of Blended Pleasure. Four of Cups can bring up feelings of boredom, apathy and discontent in one's life. As we see in the RWS Cups Four, an angelic hand reaches out to show the young person the bounty that sits right in front of them. But, they don't even notice the miracle of this divine hand. ![]() We've entered Cancer II, the decan of the Three of Cups tarot card that lasts from July 1st - July 11. This is the Lord of Abundance card, associated with Mercury in Cancer—and the Magician (Mercury ruled tarot card) and the Chariot (Cancer ruled tarot card). Three of Cups is a card of celebration, friendship, community, creativity, fun, and abundance. Consider how this energy may reveal itself to you in the next 10 days. Is it showing up for you yet? >>> Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas! Here’s some of the Empress’s creative magic to bless your day.
The first photo is the Lua Tarot's Empress. The second photo show Empress cards from: The Pagan Otherworlds Tarot, Dark Goddess Tarot, Victorian Romantic Tarot, Modern Witch Tarot, Majestic Earth Tarot, and the Antiquarian Tarot ![]() We started off the year with some positive energy last week! We're into week two and there are already three potent cosmic events, making it an intense start—and not the best way—to the year. The Cancer Lunar Eclipse is Friday January 10th at 11:21 am (not visible from America). The year begins with Full Moon in Cancer and we will end the year with one too (though December 29th won’t be an eclipse)! This puts a spotlight on feminine energy (Cancer is a super feminine and maternal sign). This year will bring more awareness to the topic of feminine empowerment and leadership. ![]() Scorpionic astrology is upon us! Here are the corresponding cards from the Antiquarian Tarot and my divine musings. Sun went into Scorpio today! -- New Moon will also be in Scorpio Sunday (if you don’t know, New Moons are always the same as the Sun sign bc they are in conjunction) -- Mercury in Scorpio will go retrograde on Halloween! (Forewarned is forearmed!) Also Venus has been in Scorpio and will be until Nov. 1st. ![]() Antiquarian Tarot's Guidebook is now available as an eBook! It's in my Etsy shop via immediate digital download of the following two file types. .epub (EPUB files can be opened in most eBook readers, including the B&N Nook, Kobo eReader, and Apple's iBooks app.) .mobi (MOBI files can be read by eBook readers like the Amazon Kindle and many smartphones that support that format.) The Antiquarian Tarot and Companion Guidebook are available again. They were sold out for just a short while. I have a new case, which now has a red inner-lining. The red color represents the root chakra and helps to ground & protect the cards when they are kept inside the case.
Autumnal Equinox blessings (Spring to you in the Southern Hemi-)! I posted a new video going over the Antiquarian Tarot Companion Guidebook in more detail. I also reveal the new Lovers card and the other minor changes that I made to the deck.
The deck and book go on sale Monday, September 26th! Subscribe to my notification list, if you're not already, and I will send an email when they go live. ![]() Antiquarian Tarot's books arrived yesterday and I am excited to launch them on Sept. 26th. I'm preparing my website (and also Etsy) to sell the books and the tarot decks. Here are the details for shipping domestically (USA) and internationally. Domestic shipping within the USA: I will ship the deck OR book via Priority Mail in a Small Flat Rate box. Priority Shipping is my preferred method because it is insured and has tracking information, plus I can print labels and ship from home. This means faster shipments and turnaround. If you order the book alone, I do offer shipping via Media Mail. ![]() Antiquarian Tarot book proof is here! The printed proof is in my hands. I'm going through it and working with the printer to make sure it is exactly how I want it. Look for the Antiquarian Tarot Companion Guidebook at the end of the month. I'm planning to release it on September 25 along with the release of the 2nd edition of the Antiquarian Tarot deck. I'm practically finished! The book layout is complete and the book cover's design is done. I'm just waiting to hear back from my editor who is doing a final pass-through for me. It looks like the book will be 385 pages. It will include all the images from the deck, as well as information about the cards and my artwork.
Here are the Table of Contents to give you an idea of what to expect from my guidebook. Exciting news! The Antiquarian Tarot Companion Guidebook is almost finished. I have an editor doing another pass through it before I send it to the book printer. Also, the last details of the book cover are coming together.
I am feeling really close to completion. It is looking like an early September release at the latest. The Antiquarian Tarot deck will be re-released with the book. Thanks for your patience and support! Here's a video I shot showing all of the cards last year, which I never posted. The soundtrack has music by Dream Lodge, David's and my band project. The tracks, High Desert Star and The Lodge, are recent releases from our vinyl record EP (six tracks), which will be released this Saturday. The two tracks are available to download now. You can have the vinyl record mailed to you after the official release date, August 1st, 2015. There is a digital download card that comes with each record. You may order it here if you'd like a copy. Thanks for your support!
![]() Sagittarius Full Moon blessings! It has been a while since I posted, but I wanted to share an update about the progress of the Antiquarian Tarot Companion Book. It is still in the works! I'm more than halfway through now. I never imagined it would take this long to write, but this is my first book and I'm slowly making my way through each card entry. I hope you are enjoying the deck so far. This companion manual will help to shed some light about some of my design choices. |
