![]() Today is the Lunar Eclipse (exact a 11:21 am PST) in the Wolf Moon—the first of 13 moons of the year. And it’s in the sensitive and loving sign of Cancer. Eclipses can be intense, but they also offer us opportunities to take an honest assessment of the things that are not working and change them. With the Sun in Capricorn, it’s a time of stepping up to take responsibility for what isn’t working for us. Since we’re starting the year off with this eclipse on the axis of Cancer and Capricorn, it’s the perfect opportunity to focus on self-care. I’ve chosen self-care as my word for the year, to remind myself to do a daily practice so I can ground and take care of my mind, body and soul this year.
However, this eclipse axis also reminds me to reach out to the people I love in my life. Cancer wants to love AND be loved. We need to remember to get off our screens and meet up with our friends and family...because we will need each other more than ever this year! So we mustn’t isolate ourselves. I felt so much joy after reconnecting with a dear friend of mine who had been out of the country—my heart felt so buoyed! I had been feeling down for a few days and this sweet conversation made me remember the importance of connecting with the people we love. Happy Lunar Eclipse! May you find this to be a time of empowerment. May you remember that you are loved and supported.
