Happy 11/11! It’s a magical day. A rare transit of Mercury moving across the Sun is happening at 7:22 a.m. The last one happened in 2016 (do you remember that?!). The next one will be in 2032! This happens about 14 times per 100 years. With the right equipment (telescope) and care, one can see a small dark disc going across the Sun. Like in the NASA photo I'm sharing from 2016. Start of transit 4:35 am PST
Middle of transit 7:22 am PST End of transit 10:04 am PST This is also an astrological conjunction of Mercury with the Sun, which happens 6 or 7 times a year. Their energy together means our mental processes are highlighted. Our ability to think, reason and communicate, and express ourselves outwardly through language becomes the focus. This is usually a great time for conversations and interactions with others, but since Mercury is retrograde this can mean that the shadow of Mercury surfaces: being too heady, disconnected from the body and mercurial. Conjunct the Sun adds a self-absorbed attitude, thinking one is right and doesn't have a shadow —or doesn’t want to look at it. Watch out for communication snafus today. The Sun shining through Mercury Rx acts like a spotlight, so it’s a great time to self reflect and consider the things we have been doing (or need to do) to evolve and grow. Take it easy and remember to be gentle with yourself and others.
