“Water is the mother of the vine, the nurse and fountain of fecundity, the adorner and refresher of the world.” –Charles Mackay “Always be like water. Float in the times of pain or dance like waves along the wind which touches its surface.” –Santosh Kalwar The sky here has been filled with smoke and will continue to hover for more days to come. “What can we do?” I asked the cards.

Gutted about the fires, so I shuffled for a message from the Lua Tarot and pulled the Ten of Wands. Sigh. Burnout could not be more literal here. “Unprecedented” seems to be the word for 2020! Several of our friends were evacuated from their homes. We opened our home to dear friends and their two beloved cats. What a terrifying and stressful time for them and everyone affected by these fires. Lord of Prudence. “In the shade of an old tree, a carpenter is refining his pieces for his project. He guides the planer with focus and care. The Eight of Coins is the artisan card and shows someone who is working happily to improve their craft. It affirms an emerging talent and ability to work alone in a craft or business venture with great skill and self discipline. This card is affirming the power of fine-tuning your technique and bringing attention to detail. Meticulous repetition can be boring but it’s with constant rehashing that one improves their skills. It’s what elevates one from the serious student to the master.”

This card is about a new era of realization. It is the resurrection card, and brings transformation and liberation. When we get to the Judgement card, it speaks to a conscious and intentional choice of creating advancement...Evolution.
Out with the old, in with the new! The New Moon in Aquarius begins at 1:42pm PST. Today's double Aquarius energy (Sun and Moon, but Mercury has also been in Aquarius) brings the Tarot Star’s energy. Though Aquarius is an air sign, she's the Water Bearer, bringing renewal and new ideas. Aquarius is the visionary, the inventor, the humanitarian, and the revolutionary. And she brings progress! Some astrologers believe that the Age of Aquarius dawned in the 60s, but others say that the Aquarian Age hasn't really begun—that December 21st's Great Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction will be the true gateway to the Age of Aquarius. (That conjunction will be in Aquarius.) I think it's a bit of both. That we've been in that doorway of transition! (If you don't know an astrological age lasts 2000 to 2100 years, and we're leaving the Age of Pisces.)
