![]() Anyone else feeling this Swords-y energy at this Lunar New Year? Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, and the Sun & Moon are ALL currently vibrating in Aquarius energy. With the Aquarius vibes, most Tarotists would think of The Star card, which perhaps does reflect the macrocosmic reality, but I’m not sensing that as strongly right now. I am sensing microcosmic mundane world in these three Swords cards today. The Golden Dawn assigns Venus in Aquarius to the Five of Swords, which usually reflects a schism, or the remains of one. This image looks intense but when we think about Venus in Aquarius, it teaches us feminine rebellion and radical self-love.
Mercury in Aquarius is connected to the Six of Swords, which speaks to transition and recovery after discord. Mercury in Aquarius seeks original ideas and the impulse for the Six of Swords is to move towards something new. Let go to heal. The Seven of Swords reflects the Moon in Aquarius, which has a trickster energy, and can be hidden and deceptive. The emotional tone of Aquarius can bring out our rebel side. So when the Moon passes through Aquarius, there’s this impulse to want to break out of a rut, but also keep your cards close to your chest. So maybe it’s a time to do what needs to be done without pomp and circumstance. After the tumultuous start to the New Year, this New Moon/Lunar New Year gives us another opportunity to reset and start again. I suppose the Lunar New Year is our third time’s a charm, if you celebrate the 3 New Years. The Solar New Year at Winter Solstice, the Gregorian New Year on January 1st, and the Lunar New Year, which is the Chinese New Year! Happy Lunar New Year!
