Divine Muses Planted 500 Trees in 2021!

Happy New Year!! I wanted to start this year by thanking Divine Muses customers for purchasing decks in my shop in 2021. Your orders supported reforestation efforts! 

Last August, I made a commitment to partner with One Tree Planted, to plant trees for every deck order.

From July 2021 to December 31, 2021, with the help of tarot, oracle and lenormand purchases, we are planting 500 trees! Details below.

If you ordered one of my decks during that time, take a moment to reflect that that deck will have a companion tree growing somewhere in the world!

I am continuing that commitment this year....every deck order plants one tree!

​Last year I chose the following reforestation projects for Divine Muses deck orders:

200 trees planted in Oregon. Oregon is where I have been rooted for over 20 years.  I chose this as our first reforestation project because wildfires were destroying so many acres here in Oregon. This is what inspired me to take action, and how I connected with this organization!

75 trees planted for Forest Fire Recovery on the west coast in locations affected by fires, with One Tree Planted focusing efforts on Oregon and British Columbia.

135 will be planted in Mexico, the resting place for the migration of Monarch butterflies, one of nature's most important pollinators. Reforestation efforts focus on creating and protecting the Monarch habitat, preventing soil erosion & landslides while working with indigenous communities.

90 trees will be planted in the Albertine Rift forest of Uganda in collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute. One Tree Planted and the Jane Goodall Institute have partnered to plant 3 million trees as a part of a long-term initiative to protect the forests and chimpanzee habitat. What an extraordinary restoration partnership! 

I have been visualizing what 500 fully grown trees will look like in the years to come. I chose different reforestation projects, but I still like to imagine what they could look like in a grove and it's incredible to think about how this all adds up! (BTW, the trees planted in the reforestation projects above will be native to their area and will be planted during planting season.)
