Divine Muses Oracle New Card: Divine Androgyne

Sometimes we get stuck in dualistic thinking. Either/or. Right or wrong. Us vs. them. But what would happen if we transcended this type of thinking?

There are numerous ways of being that are not expressed in the binary. We don’t have to choose just one option. This or that. We can go beyond the binary. There’s magic to be had here. Either/or thinking becomes both/and thinking. The archetype is the Divine Androgyne—the Divine And.

This archetype is a reflection of the alchemical Rebis. The Divine Masculine & Divine Feminine are two parts of the wholeness that is the Divine.

​For the past few months, I’ve been reflecting how this energy shows up for me, what its role has been in our society, how it has been hidden, and how it’s resurfacing or needing to.

I notice that we can really get stuck in this dualistic thinking…I catch myself doing this even after much reflection about it. However, I do find my perspective shifting a little to see beyond two points on a spectrum. Beyond binary. There are nuances & grey areas. A middle path. We can hold multiple ideas at once. We can say yes to more than one thing. We can also reject the options.

I find this archetype to be empowering & felt compelled to add this as a card to the 2nd edition of the Divine Muses Oracle.

The guidebook has been updated to include this and the Crone Magic card, which I shared previously here. 5 pages have been devoted to each card, including its “Essence” & “Shadow” (reversed) meanings, and the symbolism found “In The Card.”

I'm excited to add these two archetypes to the deck. I've found them to be powerful & wise energies to work with, and perspective shifting!
