It is the resurrection card, and brings transformation and liberation. When we get to the Judgement card, it speaks to a conscious and intentional choice of creating advancement...Evolution.

![]() Can you believe it’s Summer?! It honestly doesn’t feel like it to me. But, it has been rainy and gray today here in Portland, and that vibe is certainly reflecting in the astrology. We have a potent Solstice Solar Eclipse that is exact tonight 11:41PM PDT. The New Moon moves into Cancer at 11:02PM and the Sun moves into Cancer at 2:44PM. Which means that this powerful Solar Eclipse portal is a Cancerian one. It is emotionally-based with a focus around home, family and femininity. We will likely be super sensitive, needy and want to snuggle in with people or things for comfort.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas! Here’s some of the Empress’s creative magic to bless your day.
The first photo is the Lua Tarot's Empress. The second photo show Empress cards from: The Pagan Otherworlds Tarot, Dark Goddess Tarot, Victorian Romantic Tarot, Modern Witch Tarot, Majestic Earth Tarot, and the Antiquarian Tarot ![]() The last Major Arcana card for the Lua Tarot is done. Here is Justice! If you’re a Libra, or have a Libra Ascendent, this is one of your tarot card archetypes. With everything going on in the world there are some lessons that this archetype brings and one of those lessons is balance. In a world where everything seems so dichotomous, Justice teaches us to find the center. She teaches us the lesson of the middle path. On this spectrum of reality there are many perspectives, and somehow (at least in this country) we’ve come to have deeply polarized reality maps of our ideals and our society. ![]() There's one more Major Arcana card left to create. Here are Temperance and the Devil. 65 cards are completed, 13 left to go on the Lua Tarot. My apologies for the lack of details on this quick screen capture of these cards. I know it’s a little fuzzy. I hope you're enjoying these updates. Wishing you peace and many blessings. ![]() Happy Pink Super Moon to you! Here are the latest cards from the Lua Tarot deck—two Judgement cards. I can’t pick one, so will be including both! Last week I got together with a few tarot friends and we asked the cards to give us a message about the pandemic. We pulled a card for ourselves and one for the collective. I pulled the Judgement card for the collective. I had been collecting source material for Judgement and was dumbfounded by the draw—but why am I even surprised? ![]() Finished my 58th card from the Lua Tarot. I have 20 left to go! The Two of Coins card meaning is about balance, grace, harmonious change, and fluctuation. The following is an excerpt from the Lua Tarot booklet: “A flamenco dancer plays her castanets with graceful poise while ships navigate a tumultuous sea behind her, representing the ups and downs in life. This card shows the skillful balance of taking on multiple projects at a time. It requires flexibility, grace, & an ability to go with the flow while being adaptable to changes. There’s an air of enjoyment in these projects, and multi-tasking skill. This card may be asking us to limit our choices in order to maintain balance. There’s only so much we can cram into a day. The Two of Coins card may also be saying that our work or money situation is ebbing & flowing. There is fluctuation, profit & loss, which is expected, but try to stay positive and focused on solutions.” Copyright ©2020 Maree Bento. The white (light) candle represents what I want to see grow as the days become longer. Today is Spring and it is a beautiful, sunshine-filled day! We want to socialize and share in the buzz of excitement as the Sun brings life back to the Earth’s Northern Hemisphere. ![]() Thought I’d share a few more cards from the Lua Tarot! I’m practicing social distancing, so I will be taking a break from my massage/healing practice to make sure my clients are safe. In the meantime, I’m going to dive back into creativity mode with the Lua Tarot this week. Stay safe and healthy! Reach out if you need anything. We are all in this together! Wishing everyone the best of health...Body, Mind and Spirit. ![]() Now that NWTS is over, I’m going to start working on the Lua Tarot again. I had a sample deck at NWTS with the completed cards. Here are three of them. I’ve been personally working with these three archetypes this year. A reading with these cards would look like: Withdraw and find Strength in your inner wisdom. If you’re isolating, nourish your creativity. Stay grounded and trust your inner wise Self. ![]() Two bits of news. 1) I got my Lua Tarot sample cards today and 2) the Sun enters Pisces tonight at 8:57pm PST! Pisces is a highly emotional and sensitive sign. Its dual energy can present us with two sides. On one hand, Pisces are compassionate and sensitive, and highly mystical and psychic, as well as artistic. On the other hand, they can become easily ungrounded and isolate themselves, tending to escape reality via addiction or dependency. ![]() Here’s part of a card from my new deck, the Lua Tarot. Today at 12:02 pm PST, Venus goes into Aries. Venus in Aries is associated with the Four of Wands. This card is about sharing in the joy and festivities of a commemoration, such as a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or milestone of some sort. The message is about the gratitude and abundance we find in our community or home and the stability gained from them. Venus will be in Aries until March 4th. The transition today can create discomfort since Venus tends to focus on others and Aries is the sign of selfhood. If you are more of a giver, then the next four weeks will bring lessons around how to accept things...like love...and other gifts from others. Venus in Aries wants to make love and mischief. Their combo brings adventure (and risk), excitement and passionate creativity! ![]() Out with the old, in with the new! The New Moon in Aquarius begins at 1:42pm PST. Today's double Aquarius energy (Sun and Moon, but Mercury has also been in Aquarius) brings the Tarot Star’s energy. Though Aquarius is an air sign, she's the Water Bearer, bringing renewal and new ideas. Aquarius is the visionary, the inventor, the humanitarian, and the revolutionary. And she brings progress! Some astrologers believe that the Age of Aquarius dawned in the 60s, but others say that the Aquarian Age hasn't really begun—that December 21st's Great Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction will be the true gateway to the Age of Aquarius. (That conjunction will be in Aquarius.) I think it's a bit of both. That we've been in that doorway of transition! (If you don't know an astrological age lasts 2000 to 2100 years, and we're leaving the Age of Pisces.) ![]() We started off the year with some positive energy last week! We're into week two and there are already three potent cosmic events, making it an intense start—and not the best way—to the year. The Cancer Lunar Eclipse is Friday January 10th at 11:21 am (not visible from America). The year begins with Full Moon in Cancer and we will end the year with one too (though December 29th won’t be an eclipse)! This puts a spotlight on feminine energy (Cancer is a super feminine and maternal sign). This year will bring more awareness to the topic of feminine empowerment and leadership. |
